I was driving through the city when I saw this and just had to take a picture. What are your thoughts? I didn't do much editing, so any comments on what I could do to improve the image would be great!

maybe a slight curves adjustment, but other than that, I think the image is great as is...:)

I like it! If you think the sky had a little more color to it at that time, you could mess around with it... but I like its somberness.

Personally, I'd love to see a *little* bit of fill flash in the lower half and perhaps a touch of boost to the color in the sky. All in all, though, I like this shot a lot. The contrast between the nice sharp lines of branches on the foreground tree with the softness of the background is great.

Thanks guys! I attempted to edit out the smaller tree and sign in the foreground, looks a bit better. The sky had more color originally but I lowered the saturation, I thought there was just too much color in the original. I'll keep messing with it!

I personally think its great the way it is.

Any more colour and it might verge on the sureal. The low light level works perfectly for me.

A little contrast (or curves). Maybe boost the red color in the sky. Get rid of the speed limit sign and fence posts. Then you will smile :)

I like the sign, it balances the image. Gives some reason to have all that empty space, and a little context as to where this is. There's also the contrast of a natural tree, and the man made sign (which suggest the whole scene is also next to a man made road). The two much smaller trees/bushes near the main tree are unfortunate though, they don't add anything at all to the image and are distracting. I would have also liked it if you got closer to the ground, so the fence was more prominent, or higher so it wasn't visible at all.

Overall its great though. I love the combination of harsh contrast in the silhouette of the tree, and the smooth softness in the rest of the image.

I like the trees in the back ground it gives deap to it. But I'm new to all of this I just have a simple camara but go some real nice nature pictures with it. I'm waiting for my new canon then learn how to use it, then I'll post some pictures.

Right place, right time! Part of the art is the recognition of the photo op. Don't change a thing.
