On Saturday morning of GMOS we planned to shoot a couple of locations. Once we finally found the secret and well hidden Audubon Park, we decided to take a walk and feed the mosquitoes. Man, they were some kind of big, and really hungry. After we had walked a while and decided that we had donated enough blood, we returned to the cars. This little guy too time out of his busy morning to pose. No model release was signed:):):)

He was a cute little bugger. Definitely NOT worth the blood, though.

A Maine Cutiefuzzycuddle squirrel? I really have no idea. Might be a red squirrel (?)

Yes, that's a red squirrel. Quite a bit smaller than the gray ones we normally see around here.
Weird, the only times I've seen red squirrels has been at Audubon centers....

Must be because of all the nuts there (acorn type, not photographer type:))

Was this taken with the 300 f/2.8? With the 1.4X attached?

Nope, too damn heavy the 300 f/2.8 to use as a mosquitoe swatter:):)
I used my 300 F/4 with no T/C. Shot wide open, ISO 400 1/160 sec.

Wow, I'm impressive with that lens. It's so sharp!

It is very sharp and pretty fast in the AF deptartment. Not as fast as the 2.8 and I think that my 400 f/5.6 is faster, but I really love the 300 f/4.
Very acceptable with a 1.4 TC too.

Sweet shot. Too bad there were so many mosquitoes in there.

Man, you wimps. I wasn't bothered by any of those mosquitoes. Didn't even get bit once and I wasn't even using any of that anti-bug perfume on me either. Of course, I was too busy chasing them off with both of my hands to be able to take any pictures.
