Brilliant sequence, each shot is a great capture and as a series, they would be hard to beat. Just brilliant. Were they taken with the 100-400??

I am also pleased to see the bird got his fish safely away in this series :-)

Cool sequence of shots, Scott. It's always entertaining to watch these cormorants going through their routine to "down" their supper or trying to just hold on to it so it doesn't get swiped by some other birds.

Excellent series! I never really thought of cormornts as photo ops but after the weekend, I'll be viiting the areas around Montreal that are home to hundreds of them.

Thanks folks. I just noticed these today when I made my second pass through the pics. I had posted the first one, but realized the rest made a nice series.

BlueTit, this was the 400mm L prime. Very nice lens for this stuff.

Ian, I'm not so sure that cormorants make for great photo ops - they are tough as hell to expose correctly since they're so dark. Action like this makes for a great photo op, though. I'm glad that I was able to capture it.
