If a car is parked on a public street and you take a photo of it without the license plate or any other identifiable marks present in the photo would that require a property release? Something like this example where there probably aren't to many of these around town but there's no way for some one to really say that it's there’s and not another one that looks like it.

I'm not a pro, but you should more worry about the rights of the car manufacturer than the owner itself. I know of a group of guys who wanted to print a calendar of pictures of a car (Porsche), and they were legally advised not to do it unless they could get a release form from Porsche. They didn't manage to obtain the release form...

Not for a generic E-Jag. Maybe for a custom, like a "Foos car". Not sure on that. Seems like he'd consider it good advertising, but some companies make their $s by renting out cars, etc to the movies & they'd have an issue. and they were legally advised not to do it unless they could get a release form from Porsche. Lawyers kill more jobs then they save! That's their job & it justifies their existance. Think of the negative publicty if Porche sued some guy for making a calendar? Porches rights ended when they sold the car.
