View Full Version : Admin Question: Local Time versus Fuzzy Time

Did POTN recently change how it handles time? I thought it used to be that posts had local times on them. Now it's "One minute ago" or "Two days ago." "Two days ago" doesn't tell me anything relevant about when a post was made. That could be 2 days +/- 12 hours or even +/- 24 hours.

Would it be possible to go back to some semblance of real time at POTN? Technically it's a setting in the admin area of the vB s/w. It's really up to the Administrators to choose to do it.

Thanks in advance for your consideration in this matter!

I agree.. I see more and more forums going with the new time display format, but I much prefer the older way. Date + Time. Just personal preference.

It's been like this for a long time I think.

It's been like this for a long time I think.

It's like setting a DSLR to automatic. "Don't worry. We'll do everything for you." I don't care to convert back to see when a post was made.
