Great captures Ron! We clouded over about 9:30 pm last night so no chance here in the east.

good shots, I went out at about 2:30 eastern and immediately saw two fairly bright ones, of course after I set the camera up and shot for an hour I saw nothing...
then at about 4 am it clouded over so my night was done.

Those are some great captures Ron.

Were you in a fairly light polluted area? I'm worried that I won't be able to see any meteors from my shots. I shot at ISO 800, 30 sec, f/4 (as wide open as I could go) and 10mm. I hope that's enough to pick up some of the brighter ones I saw. I had clear skies most of the night, but finishing up at 5:30 and then trying to get some shuteye before work doesn't allow much time for downloading and posting images. :) I'm going to try and get some up tonight. I had my count at 44 for the night with about 8 good ones and I'm guessing about 80% seemed to be from the leonids radiant.

Great job.
I tried to do some shooting last night, but it just didn't pan out.

Anyone know if we will be able to shoot tonight? I know the peak was yesterday, but would it still be worth hanging out in a cold dark field for the night?

Thanks for the comments evryone , appreciate the kind words !

Scott , depends really , is your camera a crop or FF ? You should still be able to see some tho . My skies this early of a morning isn't too bad on LP . My skies probably run 4-4.5 on the dark scale .

Erik , you should still be able to see a few for the next couple days but after that i wouldn't try . Good Luck tho !

I'm shooting with a crop. I was able to get pretty far into the country away from a lot of LP, so I'm hoping I'll be able to see some. Just have to wait and see.

If your far enough out you should see some reguardless . Just make sure your staying warm and have something hot to take with you to drink and blankets if needed .

Was out at Mt. Laguna from 1230 until about 0230 - probably averaged 20 - 30 an hour. Took about 300 shots. I'm planning on stacking 10 or so for a good Milky Way shot and then trying to overlay the half-dozen or so that I found with meteors in them.

This was one of my better single shots - 5D with 15mm fisheye @f/2.8 30sec. ISO1000. Levels and curves quickly adjusted in PS.

awesome. I'm going to have to check my shots and see if I caught anything I couldn't see :)
