i shot these pix on a overcast day. iso 400 5.0 fstop and 1/100 shutter speed i believe. i am new. please help critique and feedback.i did a lil bit of post processing with the canon program my xs came with.

Cute kid! I would say with only one subject you could probably open up your aperture more so you can get that "blurry" background, bokeh. which brings me to the next point, watch your backgrounds. In the first picture perhaps you could have taken from a slight different viewpoint so we just saw the brick exterior in the background rather than the hose and window.

Exposure looks decent, for little ones you do want your SS to be faster than 1/125, at 1/100 I can kind of see some motion blur, the image just isn't as sharp as it could be.
