Great quality! #2 is very sharp, you nailed that one. #4 is the most sought after shot at an air show, great job capturing it.

Ha, thanks for the reply. I know what you mean about #4. I had one where the cone was perfect but I cut the nose of the jet off. I like the effect of the one I posted because it shows the cone trying to completely form.

Nice job! I love the F-18. What a great jet and you captured it very well.

Lucky you, looks like you got into the invite only section? If I would have known that there was going to be massive tents and blockage everywhere this year then I would not have even gone. That invite only wrist band section pissed me off!

Nice shots. A little advice though. EXIF data shows ISO 500, no way in the world, in bright sun you should be shooting anything but ISO 100.

I paid to get into the flight club section. Well worth it IMO.

Agreed. I was trying to go for a higher fstop to allow for some missed OOF shots due to high speed. I also have not been to an airshow on a sunny day since I got into photography. These settings have worked well for me in past shows. I think I did it to much for this show.

great shots Wingman! Did you happen to take any other pics of static aircraft? I flew down in the KC-10 that was parked at show center. Hope you enjoyed the show. P'cola is my hometown and the airshow is always a blast..especially flying in for it!

haha nice pic! No that was the B52 crew. We stopped the line of folks coming on to our plane during the Blues performance so we could watch the show from the airstairs..provided a great view! Again..great pics!
