Dang, its been ages since Ive posted. I made it through final exams.

More of this beautiful city im stuck photographing because I dont have a car. Man i need a car.

This shot was from a moving ferry w/o a tripod[not like that would have mattered] ...at this resolution it passes as a sharp photo:D

Anyways, is there any way to sharpen it?

Unsharp mask doesnt really do anything, most of its just sillouhette. I need to make those funny elongated window lights squarish hopefully faster than one at a time.

Thx

Shooting from a moving dock or boat at night is hard enough. You'll go mad trying to also sharpen them. Better to go the artistic route such as this and what you ended up with should be on the cover of a Ferry brochure or timetable.

Well done.

It is almost unimaginable to me that you would complain about getting to photograph S.F. because you don't have a car. I lived in S.F. about 35 years ago, didn't have a car, walked my ass off and shot because I couldn't afford any other form of entertainment. You can go to my personal website and see what I salvaged when I was finally able to scan some of those slides at http://www.palsgaard-mccann.net/SanFrancisco/SanFranciscoSkylines.html

Is that the embarcadero freeway in #1???? These photos are ancient! THat collapsed when I was 1. (over 15 yrs ago) My dad wasnt shooting in 1970. The only thing about slide film I know is that there's a lot of it expired in my freezer. Thanks for sharing.

About the car, I really want to go to yosemite, heast castle(again), and highway one north of san francisco into oregon.

Yes, the Embarcadero! Yes, they are about 35 years old now. I am old and decrepit.

If the film is in the freezer it will stay good for years and years and years ... BUT, if you don't shoot it soon there may not be anyone around to process it. :-) I still have a film body but all my film is in the freezer, too.

Ive always entertained the though of taking free/cheap lab equipment from a closing lab. I've seen labs give stuff away on craigslist. Instant satifaction in my living room.:D
How do they work? I can figure that out eventually./
