Brand New Canon Lenses

Does anyone know if the lens box is supposed to be sealed from the factory or not? The ones I've ordered from B&H haven't been.

All Canon stuff are never sealed in the boxes.

Nope....just with closed lid...no packaging or seals of any sort

Probably because most people like to look a lens over before they buy it.

I guess it's kind-of like buying a guitar - you want to look it over a bit first.

Problem is, it is easy to put a bad copy back into an order. Sooner or later, someone will keep it!:confused:

That probably happens more often than one would like.

On the other hand, lenses get returned as "bad" copies that are not bad.
