Audio-Technica AT897 shotgun mic with battery (http://www.videomaker.com/article/12670/) + 25' XLR cable + XLR to 1/4" or 1/8" mini adapter + M-Audio Microtrack 2 (http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/MicroTrackII.html)?
How about with the Sony_ECM55B (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/49324-REG/Sony_ECM55B_ECM_55B_Omni_Directional_Lavalier.html #specifications) instead of the shotgun?
Will this mic work with this recorder connected directly? it sounds like I may need this 10 dB attenuator (http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/MicroTrack10dBPad.html) from m-audio.
