Hi Guys/Gals,

I was wondering if anyone uses there Cybersyncs for Outdoor or Indoor Gym shoots? A few friends have Suggested only Pocketwizards, but my budget cannot justify so much money when I need three of them. They are out of my budget.

Has anyone been able to shoot further than the suggested 350ft range? That already seems plenty to me, but when comparing to PW's it has much less range (although at a much lower price).

I'm still very new to all of this, and don't quite know what my limitations are just yet. But most subjects I want to shoot are no further than 100ft away. Should I just save up and go for PW's anyway, or would the Cybersyncs work just fine?

There is a good number of folks here on POTN who happily use CyberSyncs. Its hard to find negative reports about them. Mine have been rock solid (they NEVER misfire) and the price is right.

Who's shooting over 350ft, if they are doing that they must have a big ass lens and if they have that they can probably afford pw's no probs, I've not long had my cybersyncs but tested the other day (only for the sake of testing) and had no problems at about 250ft ran out of space to get further back. You will ove them particularly at their price point.

The only time I tested mine I was probably around 110m or so away (I think that's around 350 feet?) and my flash fired no problem. If you need more range you could always put one receiver in repeater mode. I haven't played with it yet so not sure how well it works or how it affects your sync speed.

Would you ever shoot from more than 100 feet away in an indoor gym shoot?

I shoot from one end of the basketball court to the other with zero problems. These are awesome.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I really do appreciate it.

Looks like Cybersyncs it is. :D
I just wanted to make sure that they were enough, the price is a big selling point for me.
