my guess is that some textures and a sepia tone should to the trick. Textures you can find on Flickr.

I don't believe it's free, but I know Bobby Earle has been recommending totally rad actions (http://gettotallyrad.com), which has some pretty cool photoshop plug ins for that kind of effect as well as a lot of others.
