Hi,
I am trying to sell stock photos and want to sell them as files only, not prints. I would like folks to be able to select a file size from a dropdown box instead of the print sizes, pay with paypal and then be directed to a file download. Is there any way to do this with EE Commerce setup? If not is there any other way?
Thanks
Pekka

Dropdown box code is freely configurable in EE Commerce template.
EE Commerce template is simply a form which sends item data out to Paypal. The template is done for each service by strict coding rules which the service provides. How Paypal handles the redirection after payment is something that you'll need to study in Paypal documents. If the redirect address is sent in form, then it is entirely possible to build a page in EE which delivers the file. Security issues are of course important here - I have that area covered in next EE in terms of user permission system and filepath obfuscation - for that base code one could add a counter for downloads for certain photo. Current EE has also ftp obfuscation retrieval which could also be very suitable in this scenario.
I'm sorry I can't help you more now, but if you try it and can't solve it drop me a PM and I'll see if I can help. Building custom templates is not something I'd love to do right now, though :) I have next EE on table and I'm eager to get it done.
