Great pics nicksan...

I'm trying to decide between this and the 135L...how would you compare the two? I think the IS could come in VERY handy for street style photography, which is what I'd be interested in...like your pics above. The only thing holding me back is the DOF the extra stop of aperture the 135/2 would give...

This is the exact move I have made. Absolutely love the 135L, but when the 100L came out, I was intrigued. The only issue was the AF speed and for the type of street shooting I do, it's a non issue. You set the focus limiter to 0.5m to Infinity and it's just as fast as the 135L in decent light. Yes, when the it gets dark enough and not enough constrast, it will stuggle. Any lens would struggle, but more so with the 100L.

Also, it you have the focus ring racked to closer to MFD, it's slow...kinda reminds me of how the 85L performs when racked like that.

The IQ is fantasic. It's sharp, nice bokeh, and the IS is GREAT. The candles shot was at 1/50.

Thanks for that...

I think I will give the 100L a try, as it seems that the IQ and image quality definitely warrants its L designation. The bokeh does look fantastic and while it doesn't have as much "oomphf" as the 135L, I think the IS and macro ability make this lens a winner for me...

PS- The candle shot at 1/50 is incredible...looks tack sharp. Sold me right on the spot.

Yes, one more thing I forgot . The "oomph".:)
I would say b/c of the f2.8, things don't "pop" as much as the 135L, no doubt due to the 135L's ability to isolate the subject better at f2.
