Golden Candles

I need some feedback,please comment. Attached is the edited, as well as the original image. Looks much better on LCD than CRT. Thank you!

Different angle well done, however, I feel that in both shots it would have been better to use portrait format than landscape also if the candles had been lit it would have paerhaps added some life to the image.

Some fill light bounced in from the bottom would help, too.
