I have started using a D-60 for my portrait and wedding work. I am having trouble with the skin tones in my final prints, though. From the pro lab I use, I am getting pasty skin tones(blueish grey). I use the flash wb setting in the studio, because custom wb is too cool of a color tone for me. In running tests from the lab, though, the skin tones are the same no matter what I photograph in. A local superlab can give me perfect skin tones from the same file. I have been using the fine jpeg mode and am happy with the print quality, I have a 24x30 hanging in my studio. The reason I use the jpeg mode is because I had a "banding"? problem from the RAW conversion files I had tested. There were bright blue spots at all of the highlights of the image, but they were not clipped. I love the camera, but I need my protraits to have skin tones of people that are alive. Help me, please.
