I tried getting some stars last night but without success.. What is needed for the stars to show up on the camera? I got a blank image.
Nice shot btw :)

- Was there clouds in the sky?
- What's your camera settings? exposure time? # of shots? ISO?
Many variables.

I left it on for 30 seconds exposure, 5.6 aperture.. OH and I think I must have left the ISO at 100 which I know I shouldn't have (forgot all about that).
There was some cloud but more star than cloud.

I don't think 30 seconds is long enough for star trails - the movement isn't that fast! A couple of hours is more like it. You need to use the "bulb" setting.

Beautiful capture! Nice composition and color. The trails are awesome.

Try taking 30 shots and combine them. Also increase ISO to 400.
