What lenses for quick trip into New Orleans?

Newbie here. I'm heading down to coastal MS for Thanksgiving. That means family photos as well as potentially taking the still ruined areas of Katrina and city shots of New Orleans. I've actually never taken city shots (hey, I've only been doing this 3 months :))

I'm renting a 24-105L and a Tammy 17-50VC since I sold my other and cannot get my hands on the VC model yet. I also have the Canon 70-300 mm, the 50 1.8, and the 85 1.8.

I'm thinking the 24-105L and the Tammy would do me well in the city. Any other suggestions? And I guess I'd better drag the tripod for night shots or not get too far away from the car with said tripod in it :)

I'd get something really wide like a 10-22. Makes for much more dramatic shots and the actual city center is pretty cramped with very narrow streets.

Here's how some of the shots turned out. I took the 24-105L, the 10-22, and the Tamron 17-50. Good combo!

I will be going to New Orleans in a few weeks (arriving 12/20, departing 12/25).

I currently have a 5D + Grip with 17-40, 24-70, and 70-200 F4 IS for lenses. I'm considering renting the 28 1.8, 50 1.4 and 85 1.8 and just using those with a 5D w/o grip. My thinking is this would minimize bulk as well as be less conspicuous.

I only have the T1i, but this combo served me pretty well: 24-105L, Tamron 17-50VC, 60 mm 2.8 macro, 10-22 WA.
