I hate to bug you all here, but I can't seem to find the max size card that the SD300 can use. B&H sells an SD300 kit that comes with a 512MB card, and in Canon's manuals, they never mention anything over a 512MB card. I would just hate to invest in a 1GB card only to find out that the SD300 can only use a max size of 512MB.
Does anyone know if the SD300 can handle a 1GB card? Or is 512MB the max? Or, should I just play it safe and stick with only the 512MB card?
Thanks in advance

I don't understand why a camera would have a max amount. Is there really a maximum amount of memory you can have in the camera?

Computers can only address up to a certain amount of RAM based on the hardware. I know that some cell phones can only address certain sizes of memory cards. I would only assume it would carry over to cameras...not all of them, but some.

I have a 4GB Microdrive and a 300D, and have never filled the card but it says I should be able to record 560 shots in RAW. Using large JPEG the camera only goes up to 999 pics and I've never shot enought to fall below that amount so I have no idea how many it would hold.
