Great shots, some might say they're a bit tight but they work for me.
Good job:cool:

Amazing photos. I love the contrast of the colours against the grey tarmac!
DId you have a press pass? They're hardly taken from the spectator arenas?

No have no press pass. These photos are taken from spectators place. A the highest level you are just above the fence. There are only a few places where you can make nice photos.

^ Fairly sure Spies only competed at Laguna Seca and the final round (Valencia) this year. Starts full time MotoGP 2010 (the year Casey Stoner will win his 2nd world title;))

Great shots BTW supercanon.

Nice images. Anyone know what the little squares forward of the camera (behind the riders) are all about?
It's also the first time I've noticed that the two Yamahas have different seat/rear fairing arrangements.

Not 100% sure but I would guess they are the transponders for race/lap timing.

Thats a good question, it may be the transponder, not sure where the rules say they need to mount them. Club racing you can mount then just about anywhere. Nice pics!

Great series.... looks like Rossi is running whitewall tires lol

Similar system to F1. The stripe indicates the one of the tyre options. Unlike F1 they are allowed to go with whatever works for them. Possibly soft option, anyone able to confirm or refute?

I was simply thinking it was just the reflection of the track surface on the tire...

kilr95ss,
"get any of Spies by chance"?
Thought you might be interested in this. Novelty value because you will not see BS doing this again I imagine. He stood in for Loris Cappirossi at Donnington 2008 but did not actually do the race for whatever reason. This is from the Saturday qualifying.

Won't see spies doing what again? Riding for Suzuki?
Oh and to the OP, there's no e on the end of Rossi.

Ben Spies has now replaced Toseland in Tech 3 Yamaha squad in MotoGP following a very good year in WSB. Toseland failed to perform last year and will return to World Superbikes in 2010.

BS should do better than Toseland in MotoGP, who got lucky in both British and World Superbikes and when up against real talent it showed. A shame because JT is a very nice guy personally.
It's probably fair to say that to succeed in any sport at the top level you need to be completely single minded and have a ruthless streak, which nice people generally are not.
