What do you upload to your online printers?

Just curious as to what your process is to upload files to your printers.. I'm not going to upload a 40mb TIFF via a web site, and mpix doesn't have FTP so I save the TIFF as .jpg usually Level 10 or 11 in photoshop, and then upload that. That usually leaves me with a file at or a bit under 2 meg. Is that what everyone pretty much does?

I upload JPEGs with as little compression as possible, they're nearly as big as the raw files, maybe 3 to 5MB. Some online labs restrict file sizes (I think Wal*Mart has a limit of 6MB), some don't.

I have a broadband internet connection. If you're using dial-up you would need to compromise some, and it still can be a painful excersize.
