I think the results are pretty good, but judge for yourselves. Any CC appreciated as always.

these are good. he doesn't look prepared for the photo in number 2 and maybe you can clone out her earring in number 5.

Their eyes are a little dark in the first few, I would try and dodge them in PS if you can. How were these lit?

I can't really see the impact of off camera flash (that could be the ultimate compliment!), the shadows don't add any depth to the images.

I can see you getting similar results with on camera flash.

The pictures themselves are great, capturing lots of personality and character. I agree with the comment about the eyes (which surprises me given the use of flash).....

This is a postprocessing issue. I'm finding out my editing monitor may be cranked a little high on brightness, so what looked fine there is looking dark elsewhere. I made a conscious decision to darken their faces in many of the pictures I took because they looked too bright.

on my "darker" monitor at work, their faces look fine. It's just their eyes that look to dark. In the first one only. and maybe him a little in the second one.

I applied the exposure brush in LR on their whole face, chin to hair. I'll try redoing this, excluding their eyes. Thanks for pointing this out, guys.

Thank you! I reuploaded the first two with brightened eyes...what a dumb processing mistake on my part. I had to go back and re-edit almost all of the pictures I had delivered to them. At least I learned this with friends and not strangers.

number 1 is much much better now. number 2 is better, but number 1 got the most out of it.
