I am trying to shoot videos indoors of plays and concerts at our
local Event Center. I am shooting from the sound booth, which
is about 200 feet away from the stage. At wider angles all video is
overexposed on actors skins (they glow white). When I zoom in on
a person, the video is fine. I have posted a small sample at:

I have set exposure to -1.

Thanks for your help.

When you're zoomed out, the camera's calculating exposure for the whole frame, including the poorly-lit margins of the scene. As a result, the well-lit people are overexposed. Try zooming in and using AE Lock (p. 90 on your manual) for them.
