How well do most generic or 3rd party batteries perform in the s30/s40/s45 cameras?

i use one.

no problems so far. works as well as the other one. Havent made a throught test though

Going to buy one soon. Even the shopkeper recommend me that one since it have same warranty, lifetime and even cheaper. About some concern of the damage it may cause, I have not been able to think of any way.

I use them in a D30 (for over a year) and my new S45.
no problems at all.

well the 800mah I git off EBAY was indeed faulty; so I replaced it with a canon 570mah stock battery...very happy with the canon...even with the lower rating, but hey with two full batteries I can take almost 400 shots...
