I see so many signatures-
Some are generic(worded) whereas some are specific.
Someone asked if you should trademark your signature? I don't think you can trademark a generic word.

You can't trademark generic words, objects, etc. But you could trademark a slogan that relates to your business. However, I don't see any need to do so, but its certainly possible.

If you make your signature a logo it is able to be trademarked. The specific shape is what allows it to be done. Much like a simple logo like say .....an apple.

I'm going to trademark my signature photo to make sure no one can take the same shot. Y'all better get your "bride sitting by the window" shots out of your system now as my lawyers will be on your case once this baby goes through.

Thanks for sharing. I went ahead and did a search on the tradename, etc and read through so many posts here about this!!
In general, when your signature is so general- you can't trademark it. I'm not worried because I'm not going to be doing this fulltime or make insane $$ from this. I just enjoy it!!
