Another fine example of what that lens can do. I like the square crop on this. It really helps with composition of the grasshopper in the middle of the background. Love motion portrayed in the front leg and antennae. Nice job.

Thanks guys, I've heard that some people don't really rate the kit lens - I don't know any better but think it's alright. Here are another I took which I don't think is as good.

Similar settings, and a bit of saturation in Adobe
