Filter for 16-35mm?

Hi Guys!

Just purchased a EF 16-35mm f/2.8L and want to know if u guys use a filter with it mainly for protection?

Which filter would u recommend?

B+W MRC thin UV, or Hoya Super HMC Pro-1 UV. both are thin versions for wide angle. the hoya has a front thread, so you can use the canon lens cap with it. the b+w does not have a front thread but comes with a push-on cap. in my experience the b+w is easier to clean.
