The sunset tonight was quite spectacular. I grabbed the camera and headed out. This is one of several that I thought were pretty neat. Comments and critique appreciated.

Edit is OK...

WOW That is some sky!
I think the only thing I might do is to darken down the cloud about 25% to bring out some of the dark grey and balance with the dark foreground edge.

Nice image

Thanks for the comments. I've given it a try here so let me know how I did. I'm learning Photoshop (7) and have a long way to go.

I love the light late in the day and last night it was just exceptional. I have a group of photos to process as soon as I get some time.

Yeah the second one stands out more. The horizon is crookid though, or maybe my head is, one of the two!

Spectacular colours and composition though, good stuff!

I actually had to go look it up. I've only lived here for 10 years..... That mountain goes by the very colorful name of Green Mountain and is probably best known for the Green Mountain Golf course. I don't play golf so I wouldn't know for sure. Just east of Green are the colorful 'mountains' of Livingston, Spud and Larch. Actually hills around here. Just north of that and just visible at times over the rim of the hills is Mt. St. Helens. To the east of us (and visible from the top of our street) is Mt Hood so Green Mountain is quite small by comparison.

Thanks for stopping to look and for taking the time to comment. It's appreciated.
