While waiting for the sunset colors to change I noticed the daisies next to me. It's amazing what the setting sun can do to colors and textures. Comments/critiques welcome.
Edit is OK.

Nice shot...wonder how it would look with the top cropped and framed.

It's my favorite time of day to shoot with Cloudy WB. Try cropping it just above the trees on the right.

Something like this? I appreciate the comments and suggestions. One thing I did notice though was your comment on WB. I actually shoot in AUTO but had changed this image to Cloudy in DPP before saving it. Evidently changing in DPP doesn't register in the image?
But you are right, it is a lovely time of day to shoot pictures.

Yes. I like it better, but it IS your pic! ;-)
I'd mistrusted Auto WB, so I ran a little WB/Exposure test. You might find it interesting:

"Evidently changing in DPP doesn't register in the image?" I'm not sure what you mean?

Personally, I like it better before you cropped it.

Thank you PhotosGuy, it is a very interesting thread you've posted on WB. I was reading the flash sticky last night and got sidetracked to your thread on WB and wanted to get back to it but the information overload has kicked in for a while. I got as far as the M&Ms and figured this was going to take some reading to understand. I have run thru it once and I'm amazed at the wild differences shown. Custom WB just moved up on my list of things to learn to do...
As to the exif and DPP - I changed the WB from AWB to Cloudy in DPP and noticed that the output image still says AWB. I don't know enough about how this is supposed to be recorded to know if that's correct. I know that the image I posted was corrected to Cloudy with a noticeable and I might add pleasing change. In fact I went back and changed several others to Cloudy too. When shooting RAW, which I do, will there be an additional difference in the captured image based on the shot setting of WB?
Thanks for your help and suggestions. And thanks for taking the time to do the WB test. I'll use it for sure.

I don't use it, but DPP might just be showing the original exif setting. ...will there be an additional difference in the captured image based on the shot setting of WB? Additional in what way? I haven't noticed any changes that I didn't make myself.

Sorry, my Duh!...I'm shooting raw so the WB set on the camera has no impact on the image - until I convert it in DPP. The image I posted shows the WB as Auto. I guess I just expected the exif on the converted jpg to reflect the WB setting used at conversion rather than the WB set on the camera at the time the picture was taken.
