I have had a Slik U212 for more years than I care to admit and recently found that one of the clips was broken and that leg would start to slowly close. Not a good thing when your camera is on top. So I found a new old stock Manfrotto 3021 and it arrived today. I set up to take a couple of pictures and went to do my normal "fine tune" adjustment by pressing on the head only to find that with this set up there is NO movement. I also pressed down on the tripod and there was NO movement there either. What a difference.

I just moved from the Slik U2000 to the Slik Pro 340DX and the difference is day and night over all.
