Pale Cricket

Not much colour in this one. I found it in a watering can and don't know how long it had been in there or if this is just the normal colouring for this species.

WOW so clear and sharp and by the looks of it no fill flash too and no sunlight that could have killed the exposure......?

Nope. The cricket was just about translucent. The others I've seen have been brown or nearly black and much smaller.

I agree, the first shot is great, but, the heart on the second shot is awesome.

Very nice composition. The cricket has probably recently shed it's exoskeleton. It takes some time for the pigment to return.
