What exactly do you do once you finish a photoshoot with a client?

Do you call them to find out if they are happy with photos and the session? do you write them a letter/email? do you send them thank you notes?

Just want to know how you present your product and what goes with it.

:)

My product's an album. The approve it before it's made, then pick it up in person. Easy.

If you deliver just a CD... well... ask them. I have a feedback form on my website I email people to complete.

Facebook (click the link in my signature) where I tag them...it gets a lot of referrals but the pressure is a bit higher to make sure photos look presentable. I make a rule to add only a handful of the semi-good ones but leave the real shiners for their DVD slideshow and web CD which is delivered when the session fee is paid, or within a week.

From there they can decide which they want prints of or other options. Working not bad so far, but of course I'd like to streamline it a lot. I would like to know what other pros do..but even more than that, I want to know the figures (which is the hard part unless you directly ask for that info) that people make using each method. Researching as much as possible, as always...though;

Right now I'm just getting as much experience as I can. A lot of the higher end portrait photogs even in the capital city up here have 1000$ portrait sessions - I'd like to get to that level within the next year to justify a 1000$ studio session fee...I'm at 80$ an hour now, for families and annuals 150$ for kids under 8 because it takes so much more time.

I'm starting to get into the blogging habit too but I'm 8 shoots behind, hard to find time. Was working ....14 hours today. :D maybe I should hire a pro blogger?
