Hi
I am new at this and have not posted photos from first wedding to view yet....I am working on my website and noticed that the images on my home computer look a hundred times better than what they look like on a laptop....Does anyone know why this would be? The images on my home computer look sooo much more colorful/vibrant and sharp....
I can try and post some here...

thanx for any help you can give me!!!

The monitors on laptops are not near the quality of stand alone monitors. Plus looking at different angles will give different different colors and brightness. I never edit photos on a laptop.

You need to calibrate both monitors. Most photographers use a colorimeter device like the one found here (http://www.calibration-direct.com/prodspyder3pro.html?gclid=COfj9LWIqZ4CFRDxDAodgTh0 nQ).

I use this on my laptop (mac) and 22" external monitor (Dell) to display a proper color profile. (as best I can anyway).

Keep in mind that some displays will never look quite right as manufacturers have limited user access to many key color adjustments.

It's like watching TV on a 40 year old box TV and on a new HDTV....the device matters. Most laptop screens just aren't that good.

On top of that, you can't (shouldn't) really judge images on a screen unless the screen is properly calibrated (which requires a calibration device). So both screens should be calibrated...but even then, you may not be seeing accurately on the lap top because your viewing angle probably isn't consistent.
