IMHO, the best and the cheapest (6US$)
I used to have one on my D30.

Indeed. I have one of their (so called) "Oly Protectors" on my D60's LCD screen. It is a great addition that fits perfectly, doesn't obstruct the view of the display and does its job admirably.

It's not really necessary - as the LCD has a thick plastic protector on it already. If you scratch that one, use Novus II plastic polish- and it will be as new in 2 minutes.

I've heard you can use toothpaste to polish out a scratch on a CD / DVD...so maybe it works for an LCD protector too?...but then again, maybe toothpaste is too harsh.

It is true the LCD screen is made of a pretty solid material that seems to take bumps and scrapes well. What I wanted was an opaque cover that lifted up out of the way occasionally (I don't use the display to review each and every shot - only now and then). I looked high and low but nothing prevailed.
So I built one myself.

It sure as hell is ugly in the pics, but it's a working prototype - finesse is not its stong point.
It works well.

I bought a hoodman lcd protector for my d60. Although a bit pricey at $10 USD each packaged in two's. It works great and is optically clear. Each one came with a set of cleaner cloths, one wet and one dry for installing it. The same piece is used for their bellows and magnifier, so I cut the tabs off for just using it as a screen protector.
My 2 cents worth....

I bought DA's 'da oly protector' after seeing recommendations but would NOT buy it if I knew what I know now. The gap at the top and bottom (it is glued down by strips on the sides) lets in dust and other rubbish so you end up with an increasingly obscured screen.
If you put it on then sealed the gap at top and bottom - perhaps with a line of PVA glue - then it'd do the job admirably but DON'T use it without filling the gaps somehow.

I'm having a dust problem with my LCD protector on the D60. Does anyone know what happens if I remove and clean this? I'm not sure if it'll do some damage....would appreciate info. if anyone has tried this. Thanks much.
