Oil well

One of the few oil wells in Boulder county (CO), which has a few gas wells. This one has been going pretty steady for the 39 years I have lived in Boulder. It is powered by a one-lung (chug chug) engine, fueled by the very stuff pumped out of the ground. Making this a landscape, note Longs Peak in the distance, just to the right of the well. Over 14000 feet, and still snow covered on this 11th day of June. Canon S500.

Your shot does very well at communicating your intended message. I expect to be near Boulder within a few weeks, and will shoot Longs Peak. But not the oil well.
