Not sure of the name of this type of bird. I think I was told at one time it was a type of lesser heron. He was fishing for minnows and didn't seem alarmed at my presence at all.
This was shot at fairly close range from my kayak on a finger of a canal system here in Florida.
I have about a dozen shots. Many were quite decent.
