7D video focusing

Am I right in thinking you can only manually focus in video mode with the 7D? I've been looking at a load of great videos on Vimeo and a lot of them seem to have fairly decent focusing on moving subjects. Is this done with a lot of manual skill, or are they using an accessory of some sort to achieve auto focus?

Manual skill. Also, do a search for "follow focus" systems, some more serious shooters use those.

I recently changed my movie/live view auto focus mode on my 7D to "quick focus", I like it A LOT better than the default mode. Still manual focus during shooting, but way quicker to lock focus between clips.
