I have a Nikon Mc-35 (http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-MC-35-Adapter-Digital-Cameras/dp/B0009GYNZ8/ref=sr_1_11?ie=UTF8&s=photo&qid=1259371704&sr=1-11) and its function is to connect nikon cameras to gps units.

I am looking for a similar cable but for Canon. I have a mark 3 and am looking to connect using the data port on the left side of the camera. please advise

What's the purpose? I don't think any Canon cameras can embed GPS data into image files, though I could be wrong.

Also - what camera do you have? There's no camera with a model name of "Mark 3" in Canon's lineup. Is it a 1D MkIII or a 1Ds MkIII?

i agree with skip, canon's support of geo-tagging is very limited, the 1D MK3 and 5DMK2 support GPS with the wireless WFT-E2 but both accessories are quite expensive.

i've never seen a cost effective option that embeds the gps coordinates to the pictures, all other solutions i;ve seen involve a gps logger and adding the data to the files in post processing.
