Hi Mike,

I have the Photoflex 24" x 32" softbox and the grid. The grid is well constructed and I love it. The grid offers me the control I need in the studio and in a pinch I find that I can create very nice edge lighting with the 24" x 32" and grid.

If you own or plan to own Photoflex boxes then I highly recommend the grids, especially when you consider the cost of other manufacturer's grids.

Regarding the circle mask... personally I wouldn't bother with a circle mask on a 24" x 32" softbox. The size of the circle will make it a much smaller light source and I don't think it makes a heck of a lot of sense. I've never used the louver and I would rather use a dedicated strip or make due with the box and grid as a strip instead of a strip mask.

I happen to really like softboxes as much as octas and round modifiers but if I want round I'll go with a modifier that's already rounded or get an octa with a round mask.

Thanks Robert,

I have the 24"x32" softbox, that's why I was asking about the grid. I will get one then.

I think you'll like it very much Mike. My studio is fairly small and the grid lets me do a lot of work where I need the control and/or isolation.
