Colors are pretty nice. Composition is good. It's obviously a place to lock up your Bovril.....

Maybe it would help if we know what a Bovril was...
Nicely done picture... good ice-breaker.

thank you Sandy
my apologies
I had no idea Bovril was not a beverage in the states
it's around since before the first world war , I think
sold over here and in the uk.
I thought it was world wide (like canon)
a meaty flavoured drink. boiling water added to a spoonful
great for nourishment when we were anyway 'low' and needed something
but didn't always feel up to eating (if ill or anything like it)
something like that
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
about the old bed pan
do you not still have one under the bed ? http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
the picture above was taken the same place where I got the pictures of the coffin in the pub a while back .
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=76230
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=76227
also the chicks and ducks etc etc running about in the yard outside.
this sign and others are out in the yard
I asked the man what it was all about , as some of the signs didn't seem to 'blend'
among other thingshttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif
(see other pictures coming up ) >>>
that was when he invited me inside to see the premises
and I saw the coffin http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif
(among other strange things)http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
outside, I thought the whole place was very old all over and had been there for donkey's years.
it had, but seemly he collected everything that was nailed to the wall and made everything on the outside look older then it really was. built the old rickity doors to look like that
he grew fungus on the walls by smearing yogurt to make them look old
it worked .
growing green slimy stuff curled around everywhere
I really thought the whole place was so old.
what I could see of it
the original buildings were old but the outside walls were added on in the past few years.

these pictures are showing something of what he done Sandy...
(good for a laugh if nothing else)http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
excuse the horrible red colour.
he added that body going down the shore too http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
he collected everything and just planted them there
well, I guess they were getting old somewhere else at one time http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif
the ducks and rooster are real and very much alive
http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif
he made the whole water wheel himself

http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif

so very sorry for not explaining better Karen

Thanks for the info Marie, that soda sounds an awful lot like our Moxie soda over here, you either love it or hate it. Most kids HATE IT  I on the other hand I like it, it is truly an aquired taste. sort of like Scotch. :D ;)

What a character that man must be I loved the last 2 photos you posted. A real lot of whimmsy in them. As to the bed pan, no I don't have one under the bed. My aim isn't that good.  :p :p

thanks for that Sandy
your Moxie soda would be nothing like Bovril
Bovril is meaty, made from extracts of meat
(I think)
more of a food then a soda drink
one has to be in the mood for it , it is not too unlike a thin soup (of sorts)
the man would just love you to see all his stuff.
his daughter has given me her email address to post the pictures
here is the man, and his dog.
he loves the place and just loved doing everything .
it was great fun to see
( the chickens, birds etc etc were running around outside this door )
thanks again, I understand about the bedpanhttp://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif
