Well I finaly got to test out my new toy. It looks like I definetly need a better faster lens. This was shot with my 55-200 DC. I had to take a ton of noise out of it.
Any suggestions on lenses within a budget lol . I will be taking several outdoor soccer photos as well, which will require a decent zoom or maybe a 2x converter?

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di is rock solid for the price...

Canon 85mm f/1.8 is the fastest lens i can even suggest, its my favorite lens as well, as many many many of the members here have viewed countless images that I have used it with.

But the tamron will give you more everyday use.

Soccer is a hard sport to shoot without a BIG lens, even my 70-200 doesnt do a soccer field justice, although a youth field is much smaller. Best to accept you cant cover everything, get a lens you can actually use to open up and keep sharp...and cover the area's you can shoot, and not worry about the rest.

1) you are shooting in less than poor conditions most likely, the place isnt like like a sports arena

2) strobing usually isnt an option

3) direct flash kills the subject 99.99% of the time, and if it doesnt, its probably not allowed

Indoor soccer at that level is going to be a challenge, no matter what gear you are dragging along.

How do photos look without noise reduction? Im curious to compare to the 20d...I never too out the noise from my shots at iso 1600, and they look great in print
