I was able to get up early this morning to check out a few waterfalls in the area...

Lemolo Falls

From there we intended to stop by Warm Springs Falls nearby, but managed to miss the turn off. By the time we acknowleged we missed the turnoff we felt committed to follow a gravel road along a canal several miles more to see where it spit us out.

We ended up heading to Toketee Falls next, on the short hike in we snapped this (my favorite of the day) ...

Toketee wasn't much further...

We then swung by Watson & Whitehorse Falls (my Watson pics weren't worthy of sharing) here's Whitehorse Falls...

We finally stopped by Clearwater Falls before heading home but none of those pics really grabbed me so I didn't post 'em.

Any comments/critiques/suggestions appreciated!!!

Really nice. I like the light quality, especially in #1. And the longer exposure gives a beautiful rendering of the water. I've got to get down there one of these days...

Slacker, I have visited all those falls and have to say you have done a marvelous job of capturing them. I was also unable to get a decent angle of Clearwater Falls, decided it's pretty but not photogenic.

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

One thing I forgot to ask in my original posting... Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for snapping pics in a misty environment other than waiting for the wind to possibly shift or enclosing the camera/lens?

Thanks again.

Excellent snaps mate. The opnly thing i would say is the first would maybe be better without the long exposure. I find the blur works really well on smaller falls but not so much the big ones. Might just be me who thinks that though, they are still very impressive.

You actually feel something in looking at these photos. And isn't that what every photographer strives for?

Beautiful pictures.

Thanks for sharing.

That's cool, the other night I made a mental note to myself while sorting through the pics for the keepers that I need to start taking the same photo without the blur... I think I need to snap more pics in general and treat my available CF memory like my energy/stamina for a 10K run, I try to finish with as little left in the tank as possible.

Thanks!

You're very welcome, thank you.

It's great as is just to be able to get to and experience these places. Since the beginning of the year when I bought my dRebel and began to snap more images from my outings, it does mean more now to supplement my experience with a tangible image I can share. I have enough trouble staying focused at work and trying to not think about where I'll be going this coming weekend, it has become progressively worse as the days have gotten longer and I learn more about my camera :D
