BMX Contest

I went over to the Etnies skate park in Lake Forest, CA. today to check out a BMX contest. My company did the park's website (http://www.etniesskatepark.com/ ) and I did the photography for the site. The park manager let me know about the contest today so I figured I'd go check it out.

These are awesome shots! I especially love the third one because of the kids facial expression in the background.

I used to BMX! Wish you were around to catch some shots of me during my hey days...even if I did spent most of the time on the floor. lol!

Thanks, I'm glad you like the shots. I had a great time shooting these guys. I started riding BMX in the very beginning of the sport but out grew my bike by the time I was in my second year of high school. Back then I don't think anyone would have dreamed of doing the things these guys were doing on their bikes today. The sport sure has come a long way and it was pretty cool to see these guys going off.

A couple rough backgrounds but this is a great series all the same. That invert in #1 is soooo dialed. I love how you mixed up the processing too.

Yeah, the backgrounds were tough. I was kinda limited by where I could stand and the direction of the sun. Glad you like my inconsistent processing :)
