Model Mayhem question

I did make this post in another area, I just didn't know what area would do better in responses, so sorry for the double post. But to the question at hand.

This is for those who have done the MM gig. Did you take an escort with you, or do you recommend one. I am afraid of scams out there, where the model is going to make false claims, and the next thing I know I am in court defending myself. Or am I just being paranoid?

I think you make a valid point, if your Male, and shooting Female model, i would be tempted to find another Female friend to take along with you - maybe even to help out with a few bits and bobs?

Your Female model might be shy / not willing or uncomfortable with a room full of men etc...

I expect the model will bring her own friend for morel support, so dont expect her to come alone either!

Be Pro about it all, and you will build up good trust too

setup a video camera on a tripod and just leave it in the back of the room to record what goes on.

I've shot with many MM models without an issue. Sometimes someone else is there (a MUA, an assistant, another model, or an escort the model brings with them), but many times there is not. I do, however, always meet with the model ahead of time to evaluate her sincerity, look and suitability for the project. You can always ask for references ahead of time as well.

Friend of mine is a model on MM and she meets up with photographers before hand to just get to meet with them before they arrange a photography session. This gives a little comfort. But personally, I don't see any problem with you bringing a friend. Especially if you are male shooting a female or vice versa.

also look on the model page for a section called credits. They will list photographers, makeup etc....that they have worked with
