I think I've posted this in the Landscape forum so I apologise to those who've already seen it; but I am now specifically after constructive critique so I thought I'd post it here. I have some ideas myself but I'd be appreciative of feedback from others.

There seems to be an unusual shade of pink present in the sky and in the reflection in the water.
It gives the whole picture a more interesting look. It is a shame that there wasn't anything else going on that would be indicative of human endeavor - such as a sailboat.

Hmm, yes you're right :) The unusual shades that I captured during my stay at the lake I can only attribute to there being no artificial light sources except for oil fields that are off to the west behind a mountain range. When it's fully dark you can see the glow from where they're burning off excess gas or something. There are no towns or cities nearby, so no other light sources. Which is why there are also no boats :D Thanks for the feedback -- I always appreciate it.

I am wondering if I should crop some of the bottom or top off the photo to move the lake shore away from centre?

Here is my proposed crop. I think I will go with it... (the ratio chosen mainly 'cause that's what my printer can do, lol)

Thanks Scott and Killer. I think I'll go with the crop. The ratio is supported by my printer, so that's good :)
