Nothing special, Just liked the scene of the barn on stilts in the mill pond and it's reflection.

Sandy,

The refection in the pond is great, to bad about the harsh light. Where did you take it?

I know the sky is blown, I was shooting a little into the sun even though there was cloud cover, plus the fact theres so much humidity we've had this constant haze. :( Really messes up the metering. This was off Rte 10 and 202 in Granby, CT

I love that scene
really lovely .

again I have to say that those colours of the barns are perfect .

I wonder why they built a barn over water http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_confused.gif
stilts and all , I just wonder.
hardly lack of space.
hope it does not get overloaded and sink at any stage http://www.photography-on-the.net/forum/images/smilies/icon_eek.gif

it is a beautiful sight .
( the barn looks older then the paint)
gorgeous reflections in the water
you caught a very peaceful scene all over

almost can hear the silence

Thanks Marie, Yes red is the most typical barn color in New England, guess so they could find them in a snow storm.   I for the life of me cannot figure out way they built that barn over the water like that. Although it is a mill pond and directly behind me when I took the photo is the old mill where the water went over the water wheel, long since gone, the mill building is now where that Christmas Shop is.

it's a different shade of red from the usual blaring red Sandy
(like some of my pictures )

almost rustic.
I like it very much
funny about the barn being over water.
must have had a good reason
I guess ,from what it shows to be selling outside alone , that the Christmas shop does well all year around
