Like filters: Beach portraits?

I like playing with filters and their effects: what's a good beach portrait filter?

When I am at the beach I nearly always use a circular polarizer filter on my cameras. It helps cut down glare and improves contrast in such bright situations.

yeah, I'd have to say a polarizer would be a great choice at the beach. Also, it might only do very minor things, but a UV filter at least might not hurt just for the sake of keeping dust and grit out of the front lens element.
