Mild HDR of the Oahe Dam power plant... You don't have to point out the noise in the upper right, I noticed it as soon as I posted :D C&C is always appriciated :)

That's an unusual looking dam. You did very well, Lee, I love the color.

I guess I should specify.... that's the power plant for the Dam... the dam itself is a large hill. :D

yes, very nice image. I have visited the dam (and power plant area) but have not been there at night. It is one of the larger earth dams in the country. It's a neat area to explore as that type of engineering (on a grand scale) is always impressive. The most memorable part of that specific trip however was a 6 foot long bull snake (http://www.johnandgrrr.com/Picture%20Library/Pierre%20SD/IMG_8242_sm.JPG) that suddenly scared the ^&$#*$ out of me while walking along one of the many accesses to the reservoir...

I'll choose to stuff that memory back in the dark spaces and go back for another look at your image above. :)

Yea, you can run into some large snakes down there... especially around the emergency spillway and Stilling Basin. Just be happy it was a bullsnake and not a rattlesnake!
