Take your 1st landscape.

The mood is great as is the color -- but the 1st thing that you can do better is to give us a better composition. So go to Kodak and Minolta websites and read all about it.

But back to this picture. It is a fine shot.

The water may not be horizontal. The forground is clipped. The scene does not give us any "frame".
There is no "movement = diagonal line" for example. There is no "subject" on the golden mean. The areas assigned to foreground, middle ground and background are so - so. The scene here is nice.. but.. it does not knock you dead.

You have to keep scouting out shots for a better setting (re the lens that you have). Noone siad that it would be easy. If it was simply point-and-shoot we would be all bored to death!
